Drake – Forever lyrics
[Chorus:]
It may not mean nothing to yall,
Understand nothing was done for me,
So I don't plan on stopping at all,
I want this sh-t forever man, ever man, ever man,
I'm shutting sh-t down at the mall,
And telling every girl she the one for me,
And I aint even planning to call,
I want this sh-t forever man, ever man, ever man,

[Drake]
Last name ever,
First name greatest,
Like a sprained ankle boy I aint nothing to play with,
It started off local but thanks to all the haters,
I know G4 pilots on a first name basis,
And your city faded off to brown, Nino,
She insists she got more class, we know!
Swimming in the money come and find me, Nemo,
If I was at the club you know I ball, Kimo,
Drop the mixtape that sh-t sounded like an album
Who'd have thought a country wide tour would be the outcome
Labels
want my name beside the X like Malcom
Everybody got a deal, I did it without one,
Yeah n-gga I'm about my business,
Killing all these rappers you would swear I had a hit list,
Everyone who doubted me is asking for forgivness,
If you aint been a part of it at least you got to witness,
B-tches,

[Chorus:]

[Kanye West]
I used to have hood dreams,
Big fame, big chains,
I stuck my d-ck inside this life until that b-tch came,
I went hard all fall like the ball teams,
Just so I can make it rain all spring,
Yall seen my story my glory,
I had raped the game young,
You can call it statutory,
When a n-gga blow up they can build statures of me
Old money Benjamin Button, whaat, nuttin,
Now superbad chicks giving me maclovin,
You would think I ran the world like Michelles husband,
You would think these n-ggas would know me when they really doesn't
Like they was down with the old me no you f-cking wasn't,
You're such a f-cking loser,
He didn't even go to class Bueller,
Trade the Grammy plaques just to have my granny back,
Remember she had that bad hip like a fanny pack,
Chasing that stardom would turn you into a maniac,
All the way in Hollywood and I can't even act,
They pull their cameras out and God damn they snap,
I used to want this thing forever yall can have it back,

[Chorus:]

[Lil Wayne]

Ok, hello it's da martian,
Space jam Jordans,
I want this sh-t forever wake up and smell the Garden,
Fresher than the harvest
Step up to the target,
If I had one guess than I guess I'm just New Orleans,
And I will never stop like I'm running from the cops,
Hop up in my car and told my chauffeur to the top,
Life is like a f-cking roller coaster then it drops,
But what should I scream for this is my theme park,
My minds shine even when my thoughts seem dark,
Pistol on my side you don't wanna hear that thing talk,
Let the king talk check the price and pay attention,
Lil Wayne that's what they got to say or mention,
I'm like Nevada in the middle of the summer,
I'm resting in the lead I need a pillow and a cover,
Shhh, my foots sleeping on the gas,
No brake pads no such thing as last,

[Chorus:]

[Eminem]
There they go, back in stadiums,
As Shady spits his flow,
Nuts they go, macadamia they go so balistic yo,
We
can make them look like bosos,
He's wondering if he should spit this slow,
F-ck no go for broke,
His cup just runneth over oh no
He aint had a buzz like this since the last time he overdosed,
They've been waiting patiently for Pinnochio to poke his nose,
Back into the game and they know,
Rap will never be the same as before,
Bashing in the brains of these hoes,
And establishing a name as he goes,
The passion and the flame is ignited,
You can't put it out once we light it,
This sh-t is exactly what the f-ck I'm talking about when we riot,
You dealin with a few true villians
Whose staying inside of the booth truth spillin,
And spit true feelings, til our tooth fillings come flying up out of our mouths
Now rewind it
Payback muthaf-cka for the way you got at me so hows it taste?
When I slap the taste out your mouth with the bass so loud that it shakes the place,
I'm hannibal lecter so just in case your thinking of saving face,
You aint gonna have no face to save by the time I'm through with this place,
So Drake.

[Chorus:]
[End]

The hook began to describe that I knew that my life, ideas, and desires means nothing to the Streets and people I encountered. I am explaining that I've been on my own without much of any help from anyone. I was fresh out of being incarcerated for most of my life, took a greyhound to Los Angeles with 2$ & 2 bags. Everyday was a struggle, but always a new and usually fun experience that I thoroughly enjoyed and felt like I wanted it to never end. Then I was set up and decided flushing my 'work' down the toilet at a mall cause 2 security guards were outside my stall while I was bagging it up. I was homeless and taking all opportunities offered. I was fresh out from doing 2 1/2 years, I was 21, in LA and got a lot of attention from females I never took home cause I was embarrassed about being homeless and had no where to go. Hotel if I had a good day. But still jobless, homeless, carless, a felon. I definitely wasn't calling. I did slowly feel like I was progressing and I wanted to keep moving forward.

Truthfully and overall, I've always been better at everything then any one I encountered. I worded it nicely in the first line. Great ice breaker of how I felt at then. And at the time, I knew nothing more than a thugs life. Sprained my ankle in gym class in Tecumseh, NE and couldn't play around. I joined the meaning. I searched the Web for how to make a career in the music industry. They said start locally. So I said "I'm a start of local..." And I knew I was good, really lived a street life, and knew that most people would at first hate on me for trying to rap. Thought I'd like to fly around in private jets so I searched the coolest model at the time. I was in LA and got tricked into getting high on heroin. I was referencing a phone call I had with one of Suge Knights old employees Idgaf ill call "Mr. Hollywood" who liked to try his hand at Pimping males. "SHE" who insisted was classy was my children's mother Nicole Freiburghouse. Who got knocked up a second time while I was in jail for committing a crime we did together. The bitch ignored me and refused my efforts to see my daughter. So I was telling her, hey I'm in LA, I'm getting money, I'm in the hottest clubs with them LA girls. I wrote the song on my brothers computer who I was temporarily living with. His kids bathroom had Nemo stickers everywhere. I wanted Nicole to bring my baby girl to CA and find me. I not always, but did feel like I was balling with paper swimming through crowded LA night clubs. I balled/bald; & stayed Fresh n fly with my bald spot on my head. I planned to create what I knew then as a 7 song mixtape cause it was suggested in my research as the route to take as an independent artist. Funny right, how I thought I could create a big enough buzz with my "mixtape" 6 & 1/2 more songs still to write. All while doing my own independent country wide tour. And of course, being as great as I have always felt I am, I thought I'd have Major Labels lining up record deals telling me to "sign by the X" & And after just spending the last 2 & 1/2 yes in Omaha, NE (NCYF) Comparing myself to the only other person to create history that came out of Nebraska. Malcolm X. I remember thinking "oh this'll be good. Me and Malcolm X; raised mostly in Nebraska, USA. Black activist and White rapper changing the views on our "rival" culture. I was very naive to think I could create a mix tape alone without features. Then promote it. I planned it solo cause I didn't expect help from any angle. I was a kid that thought mostly about money and starting my own business. I had a passion for rhyming. I meant I would lyrically kill ever other artist with my songs. The people that doubted I could go to LA alone with no money or job skills and become successful was every one I knew except for my Mother; who wanted me to stay in NE but encouraged me to go and try out for the And1 traveling team, cause really I dreamed about playing for the Lakers, and I shoot like step curry. And what!. "I just knew" I'd be rich, and of course my peoples would come begging. And I meant to be cocky about how I'd be successful without any help. I called everyone I knew that wasn't part of my success bitches in a sarcastic manner for not believing in my abilities and not offering any help.

I think drake wants the high life forever. Kanye is saying that he had so long and now he doesn't want anymore. While lil wayne is saying that he is loving the fame and the fortune and still wants it forever. Eminem at the end I think is trying to say that yeah its great but it can be brutal and its filled with things that can ruin it. And the chorus I think drake is trying to explain that he is different and he wont mess this up.

I say I'm the greatest ever to kick off verse 2. I talked about my my new dream of playing And rather than the NBA. My childhood had me chasing young people's hood dreams. When I was 18 (my D.O.B. 01/07/1986), I got my 16 year old girlfriend pregnant. Her (D.O.B. 04/16/1987). In Nebraska that is statutory rape without consent of the parents. Hence the "could of called it statutory rape" I was gentler once. I meant I liked to fuck more rough and smack some ass. Like a football player. Shit did go sour for me in LA and I was nervous about leaving my brothers place near Barstow, CA to make the try out game for And1 in Venice, CA that were held spring 2007. Young Money refers to at the time still just Cash Money Record. I emailed " some" written lyrics to 'the young bucks lyrics contest.' I said how I'm a huge fan of G-Unit and Lil Wayne. I write good rap songs and would love to be a ghost writer. I also suggested Cash Money add Young Money to the beginning. Cause getting new money is Young Money. Kind of a spin off having old money. And the statues were going to be of me and Lil Wayne. Benjamin Button was funny to me. Thought we could make buttons out of money. I talked about my plan's to make the traveling And1 ball team and travel the world being accompanied by pretty girls. Mcloving cause I was a shy and a little bit dorky white kid. My brother traveled, but through the US military. I thought I would become famous a a bit, and of course people love to talk about who they know. I expected lots of people that met me acting like we were friends or something. And me being cocky and a bit of an asshole, I'd have to call them out for lying, Hating, and pretending. I had zero friends growing up, I really did move every 3 Months averaged out. And because of it, I rarely went to school. My grandmother named Rose was the closest person in my family to me and she passed when I was 13. I meant if my songs ever won awards, I'd give it all back quick just to see her again. I was chasing the stars, "my dreams" & hit some obstacles. I got set up on some bullshit. And being unarmed, homeless, with no where to go and feeling cornered I ran into the middle of the street thinking it was safer getting it there than some alley. Tried getting in a few cars. Made it in one. Jumped out real fast. I wanted a hood life at one point because it was all I knew. But after going through my trials and tribulations I was wishing I could leave it all behind me.
