Heart – Barracuda lyrics
So this ain't the end - I saw you again today
I had to turn my heart away
Smiled like the Sun - kisses for everyone
And tales - it never fails!

You lying so low in the weeds
I bet you gonna ambush me

You'd have me down on my knees
Now wouldn't you, Barracuda?

Back over Time we were all trying for free
Met up with porpoise and me
No right no wrong you're selling a Song - a name
Whisper game

If the real thing don't do the trick
You better make up something quick

You gonna burn into the wick
Aren't you, Barracuda?

"Sell me sell you" the porpoise said
Dive down deep now save my head
You... I think you got the blues too.

All that night and all the next
Swam without looking back
Made for the western pools -silly fools

If the real thing don't do the trick No!
You better make up something quick
You gonna burn into the wack
Barra-Barracuda

The wilson sisters revealed in various interviews that the song was about heart's anger towards an ad mushroom records placed in trade publications implying that the ann and nancy were lesbians having an affair. The song focuses on ann's rage towards a promoter who came up to her after a concert in detroit asking how her "lover" was. She initially thought he was talking about her then boyfriend - band member michael fisher. After he revealed he was talking about her sister nancy wilson, ann became angry and went back to her hotel room to write the song. Nancy put suitably angry music to the words to complete the song comparing the sleazy side of music to a dangerous fish.

The real thing is Heart, to make them interesting they made up somthing quick, the aligation that Ann and her sister where lesbian lovers. The swarm is the barracuda type people who fantasized and promoted the idea of sexualizing the sisters. There where very few rock women at the time and they forced them to there knees and sexualized them. Ann was angry because her love for her sister was being used, the people who had power over her image are the barracudas.

    Haha this is very true.
A lot of people are just making songs just to get a lot of money.
The song is not made because they wanted to make song and create music. It's all about the money.
If the artist/composers that has great minds can't compose anything good or catchy to gain more money, then the recording management should do something to sell something. But there's no heart in their work.
I guess that's the reason why a lot of artists just come and go in the scene. All they do is just be a one hit wonder and be gone.
I hope the music industry. The artists will step up and create more meaningful music. And I hope the audience will know how to appreciate the real music.

    Hey, mckulit_raichu!
Its me, yellowbumblebee! I had no idea you liked this song, 2! We are like, the same in like every single way! That is so weird! Hey, check out I kissed a girl, I wrote down all the songs I have commented on! Besides, what is ur gender? The usernames that are shown don't really tell you what gender you are. But anyways, this song rocks! I'm sorta stuck in some of the newbee songs and the oldie songs. I mean, just bcause a song is old, don't mean that its uncool! I gotta go, chow!

I don't mean to be a perve or anything people but this song is about a man going down on a woman. She is saying you had me on my knees (servicing you) so now if the real thing don't do the trick (intercourse) you better make up something quick (like, performing cunnilingus). Also if a man has an o****m then is that not similar to being burned back to the wick? Just saying.
